SQUARE Mobility Mobility Rental Terms and Conditions

When renting for a long-term plan (20 days or more), we require a deposit (guarantee money: a flat rate of 30,000 yen) to prevent theft and to handle breakdowns.
The deposit will be collected together with the payment of the usage fee (prepayment).

• As a general rule, payment is made by credit card.
• Upon returning the vehicle, if we can confirm that there is no damage or other issues with the vehicle, we will refund the full deposit.

SEA-Bike (e-Bike rental) offers long-term plans, such as accommodation plans (such as 2-day, 1-night plans) for leisurely cycling tours, and 1-month plans that are convenient for commuting to work or school.

The models we rent are XU1 and YAMAHA YPJ-TC. Please refer to the price list below.

*If you would like to extend your time, please contact us at 0466-86-5589 . The standard plan extension fee is 500 yen (tax included) per hour.
*All prices above include consumption tax, insurance, and helmet fees.
*The maximum rental period is one month. If you wish to rent for a longer period, you will need to renew the contract.

Loan Procedures

1. Make a reservation online/by phone
   Please make a reservation through the reservation site or by phone ( 0466-86-5589 ). Select the store where you would like to pick up your order and the plan you would like to use, and proceed with the reservation process.
   *If you let us know your height when you apply, we will provide you with a vehicle of the appropriate size.
   
   
2. Pick up your e-bike at the store
   Please come to the store where you made your reservation and complete the rental contract. You will then be given the e-Bike and any accessories, such as a charger.
   
   
3. Return the e-bike at the store
   Once you have finished using the product, please return it to the same store where you received it. Return acceptance hours: 9:00-19:00
   
   *If you wish to return the item to a different store than the one where you picked it up, please contact us in advance at 0466-86-5589 .

• Compensation details
  

  Personal injury insurance (in case of damage to the driver or passengers)

  • Death/severe disability: 5 million yen
  • Up to 180 days of hospitalization: 5,000 yen/day
  • Outpatient treatment: 3,000 yen/day for up to 90 days
  • Insurance company: Mitsui Sumitomo Insurance Co., Ltd.

  Compulsory liability insurance (personal injury and property damage)

  • Personal injury compensation limit per person: 100 million yen
  • Property damage compensation limit per person: 100 million yen

  *The user will be responsible for any damages that exceed the compensation limit, accidents that fall under the disclaimer in the insurance policy, accidents or use that violate the rental terms and conditions, or damages that have not been reported to the police or that have not been reported to the shop and are returned.

  • If the tire is flat, you will be responsible for the cost. If the tire is flat when you return the bike, you will be charged the actual cost of the repair. *If you are unable to return the bike by yourself, please park it in a nearby bicycle parking lot. The bike will be collected (for a fee).
  • If the bicycle or its parts are damaged, or if the bicycle or its accessories are lost or damaged due to overturning or other reasons while in use, you will be charged the actual repair costs. You will be responsible for any transportation costs incurred in returning the bicycle.
  • If the battery dies while you are using the bicycle, you can continue riding it as a normal bicycle without the assist function, but please return it before the battery dies. *If you request collection, you will be charged the collection fee.
  • If your bicycle is stolen or lost, please report it to the police immediately. You may be required to pay the cost of the theft.

  • You will need to present documents that can verify your current address and identity (driver's license, health insurance card, passport, etc.).
  • We will ask you for a mobile phone number where we can contact you.
  • If you are using the facility as a group, accompanying guests may also use the facility if the representative presents the above pass.
  • For safety reasons, we may refuse to allow customers who do not meet the eligibility requirements (age, height, etc.) to ride our bicycles.
  • Departure and return must be during our store's opening hours.
  
  
• Usage notes
  
  • As a general rule, bicycles should ride on the road. Bicycles are considered light vehicles. Please ride on the road. Also, please ride on the left side of the road.
  • Obey safety rules: no drunk driving, no riding with two people, no riding side by side, turn on your lights at night, obey traffic lights, stop at intersections and check for safety. Driving with earphones on can lead to unexpected accidents.
  • Drivers are prohibited from using mobile phones or umbrellas.
