Electric kick scooters are attracting attention as they will become an even more convenient form of transportation with legal reforms scheduled to come into effect in July 2023.
Anyone aged 16 or over can ride a specified small moped without a license (although wearing a helmet is a good practice). The YDX3 is an electric kick scooter that can be registered as a specified small moped.

● Safe driving even on uneven surfaces

The ground clearance is designed to be 127mm, so you can drive over bumps without wearing out the body.

●Dual suspension installed

Designed to reduce impacts from bumps and other obstacles, it provides stable driving. Dual suspension made of high-ductility polymer material is installed on both the front and rear, providing a more comfortable ride.

- Equipped with a maximum speed indicator

It has a maximum speed of 20 km/h, a maximum range of 30 km, and can climb slopes up to 10°.
Only on sidewalks where bicycles are permitted, bicycles can be ridden at speeds up to 6km/h with the indicator lights flashing.

◆What is a specific small moped?

From July 1, 2023, electric scooters and other vehicles that meet certain requirements will be classified as specific small motorized bicycles, and new traffic rules will apply.

■Maximum speed: 20km/h or less
■Riding location: Generally ridden on roads, bicycle paths are also permitted
■ No license required (However, those under 16 years of age cannot drive)
■ Helmets are a mandatory requirement
■ You must obtain and attach a license plate and take out compulsory automobile liability insurance.
■ Maximum speed indicator lights are required
